John attained a BTEC Diploma in General Art and Design in 1984 then a degree in Fine Art in1987. He works in various media and has developed two distinct drawing styles. The first a tonal blending with that could best be described as ethereal and the second, a neon highlight effect using gel pen on black paper. Often working from his imagination he draws from influences such as science fiction, fantasy, fashion and nature.
John’s mission is the promotion of art within the Ealing Community by running weekly drawing groups such as West Ealing Library Drawing Workshop and the Acton Library Adult Sketch Group as well as being a member of the Let’s Draw Now. art group.

You’ll find us in Melbourne Avenue opposite Sainsburys in West Ealing. We’ve taken over the back room at the library and have our own entrance at the back of the library follow the balloons!.
We look forward to seeing you; there are 6 fabulous artists waiting to say hi and chat about their work.
