About Us
West Ealing Library was awarded community status in 2019 and is now managed by OPEN Ealing on a volunteer basis, so far we have a team of over 20 volunteers who are working hard to keep the library running on a day-to-day basis.
OPEN Ealing is an arts organisation based in Ealing and we took over management of West Ealing Community Library in April 2024. Our aim is to make it an arts focused library where you’ll find a large and wide ranging selection of art reference books, numerous arts related activities and talks.
Our Story
West Ealing Community Library, part of the London Borough of Ealing, transitioned to community management in 2019. Since its phased reopening in July that year, dedicated volunteers have managed daily operations, turning it into a bustling community hub.
The library remains part of the Ealing library system and the London Libraries consortium, allowing Ealing Library cardholders access to a wide array of materials.
In addition to traditional services, the library offers free public Wi-Fi, access to public computers, printing, and copying services. The Training Room is available for group meetings and events, supporting the local community further.
